PCMA was the perfect way for me to gain exposure as a student that wants to enter the Events segment of our industry. I like that it is a well-rounded organization that offers hands on experience, community service projects, as well as connections with my peers. PCMA has given me the opportunity to travel, network, and gain confidence as a leader in our industry!

I Joined PCMA because I wanted to get more involved with the Hart School. I transferred to JMU from a community college where I was not very involved, and I wanted to make sure I immersed myself in the JMU activities and organizations.

I joined PCMA as a freshman as a way to become more involved. I have had multiple jobs and internships within the hospitality industry, including country clubs, catering, and corporate events.

PCMA is an event planning focused organization that allows its students to progress professionally in the hopsitality management field. Although we have initiated as an event planning association, all students within any major are additionally encouraged to become members.
With various visits from guest speakers within the industry as well as exclusive trips and tours throughout the nation, our members are connected to the vital networking and progressive steps needed to be a successful leader in the business. ​​
